Xbox one video/ resolution issue

Hi i recently bought a lg gaming monitor that can display up to 1080p and 144hz. My Xbox will only display 720p with 60hz and even then it glitchs out and gives me green pixles constantly. Please dont tell me to reboot it or hard reset anything ive tried
everything, this is the second monitor ive have gotten to try it and all the pegs in the hdmi cord and xbox are fine. The cord is even recomended for this monitor. Someone please help this has been an issue for a week now and i just wanna get back to enjoying
some gaming

So the Xbox will not do 144hz. You can increase your refresh rate to 120Hz for 1080p and 1440p resolutions. Your display must support 120Hz
over HDMI. Be careful as a lot of monitors only support higher refresh rates on the Display port and not on HDMI.

My advise would be to set the monitor at 60hz 1080p.

@zip flop - that is likely a fix to this issue as your STB will no longer do any resolution changes. The changes to the Xbox One video output probably didn't impact this.
