Xbox One users who bought console a year ago

I'm frustrated with myself I didn't wait, but I can't blame MS for it as it was me that chose to buy it when I did. But what is done is done, no point dwelling on it.

 

While price drops are often inevitable, I look for this generations 'next gen' consoles, and even games to continue to fall in price, even after the 'holiday season.'

 

The Xbox One price drop is only until January 3. But I expect a permanent price drop to happen in the near future.

 

No complaints here. I mean, come on, who didn't know that they were going to lower the price. Quit being a baby.

 

no offense but that's the way tech works when the price is concerned. I have a general rule before buying the latest and greatest of tech when it comes out, wait a year *so the price can drop and it becomes better and so I can read peoples reviews on it*

 

I bought BF4 and the Expansion pack at full price. It came out on EA access about 2 weeks later. Doh !!

 

I bought mine day one, and I've got no complaints at all....

It's a special deal (until january 3rd 2015).

You should be use to it,now.This is not the first time Microsoft do that since launch.

 

supply and demand. also the 200 i would have saves isn't worth waiting the year for it. i've enjoyed the hell out of it the past year. should note 3 owners who paid 500 dollars for it, complain that I got it for 200 dollars less then a year later? all electronics
are like that

I know that I've only had my Xbox One for about 3 months, but I just want to say that I don't regret picking it up early because I was able to play Forza Motorsport 5, Destiny, and Sunset Overdrive

Ah not being rude but 3 months ago is not early adoption. Think he is talking about day one buyers.

 

I'm a day I buyer for Xbox 1 and I don't really mind that it's cheaper now. I'd rather be IN THE FUN than sitting looking at a wall watching the stock markets so to speak for the price to come down. You're probably get those who buy it this month (because
it's a better system than what it was like at launch with tonnes of missing XBL Features many of them brought back, it has more games now) and then 6 months or 12 months later, the price decreases even more for the next group who haven't got an Xbox 1.

 

I bought my Xbox around some time in decmber so i think of me as a day 1 buyer. but i have had the XB1 since then and would not give up all the friends ,Gamer Score and fun i had for a 100 USD off. You cant put a price on stuff like that.

Hasn't anyone ever told you that in a technology driven market, prices drop quick? Even quicker as time goes?

I didn't get my console on day 1, I got it in December (which was only a few weeks after it released anyway) so it will be almost a month to the day of this post until I've had it a full year. But I've still had my console for almost a full year. That's
hundreds of hours of gaming, fun and enjoyment!

I don't know about you, but I most certainly value my spare time and I place value on the fun and enjoyment I get from whatever equipment I use, or activity I participate in when I have spare time. It must be a sad, pathetic existence for people who place
no tangible value on their spare time, what they do with it and how long they've been able to participate.

This is how the market works... and it's worse in a technology driven market. If you weren't patient enough to wait for a good deal, then you need to look in the mirror to see who is truly at fault. Whether it seems fair or not, that's the nature of the
beast... deal with it or find another hobby.

I know I'm being harsh, but I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I'm about sick to death of seeing these threads with people crying about how bad MS has treated their 'early adopters'.

Someone should start selling diapers at the entry to this forum... they'd make a killing. In fact, I bet they'd make so much that it would only be about a week until they could give a price drop and even throw in some crying towels free of charge...

 

I don't really understand the people who think MS owe them something. They're a business and not your friend, they are here to make money and get new customers, to do that they have to make these offers.

Also we all knew £450 was too expensive and most likely wouldn't take too long to drop in price, I didn't have any patience and got one near release fully knowing it would drop in price.
