Xbox One User Interface

I am now getting even more frustrated with the Xbox One user interface, compared to when I first purchased the console.

When the Xbox One came out, the UI was smooth, user friendly, and easy to get to where you want.

Now however, I'm pressing up, down, left, up, up, down, left, etc, etc, just to get to one item. It's also very sluggish, slow to open up menus, and just damn frustrating.

I was trying to change my background to a picture, (which is pointless, as it's all covered), when I found my screenshots and decided I didn't like them, I pressed B in hope to go back to select a colour, but no, instead of going back just one, it's goes
back further, where I have to re-select "Personalise".

I'm sure I use to be able to flick through my screenshots, now it seems I select one and have to come out and select a different one, instead of flicking through.

I really want the original UI version please... (surely that can be and option) This new Windows 10 feel in awful!

Or is it just me...

PSersonally, I think they've slowed down the UI, just so the Xbox One S seems faster.

SSB, children learn faster than adults so the One's interface shouldn't be a problem for anyone.

Yeah I'm not minding the X1 dash these days and I even gotten to the stage now where I have an acceptable gamerpic and background so as much as I would like more, I'm happy to wait patiently. I still really want a chat pad though, omg!

Or use this thingy called Voice Commands. I went to the midnight launch of xbpx 1 and til this day the UI is MUCH BETTER than that windwos 8 hunk UI which at launch took 30 seconds to do one thing. No its not our ISP its the software that os the culprit.
The windows 10 like ui now on xbox 1 is so much faster than what xbox 1 was like at launch. But i still prefer xbpx 360s ui as it shows u and ur friends abatars and in parties. xbox 1s ui looks more like for middle aged peeps or business peeps who like a whole
lot of squares lol. xbox 360s ui is more of a kiddy ui which i love about it. when kids jump on xbox 1..... waahhhhh..... wheres my avatar.

Haha, I'm middle aged and I hate it.

Hello everyone

I love the Xbox 360 user interface and I prefer it over the Xbox One

The current Xbox One user interface functional and it gets the job done, but it would be nice to see my avatar on the dashboard once again.

I really think they should bring back the avatar store. Many love buying new stuff for our avatars like props clothes and other stuff. But it appears they did it goth style by only being able to choose the default stuff on Xbox 1. It's ok for people who
love living in white wall houses with no paintings who may not mind not having an avatar store on Xbox 1. But that isn't me. Microsoft should know young people like variety. It keeps the mind open and it's fun, and it generates money for Microsoft by purchasing
stuff for Microsoft. It's a win win situation. We still don't have voice messaging either (I'm not in this preview program thingy). Typical "Windows 8 language" isn't fully "Xbox Language" friendly. I do have to say that Xbox 1 has improved compared to what
it was like at Launch, where people say Xbox 1 can't do half the stuff 360 can. Now it can do more (but not all) stuff which 360 can like change the background, recent players list, dolby support, external HDD and USB file support, recent players list, battery
indicator. It feels like my parents have grounded me the way they lock your avatar in the Windows 8 Avatar app. I read a friend of a friends bio and it said something like Proud Xbox 360 owner, Xbox One is bad. It is true Xbox 1 has had a lot of feedback about
it. I do have to say the way the create the software which runs pretty well on a console with less oomph than Xbox 1's hardware, Microsoft is genius. When Xbox 1 launched in the condition it was, it felt like the console was running Windows Vista and everyone
knows that was a horrible OS. Everything was just so slow at opening, messages, friends, etc. Xbox 1's UI has improved definitely though.
