    the ps4.5 will do 4k video and upscale most games to 4k, it will not do games natively, it is also going to be using the latest AMD 14nm APU, will have an extra core of the cpu unlocked so will have slightly more power, there doing this to have higher frame
    rates on the sony VR, the cost is roughly $400 but not set in stone yet, to me this is not worth an upgrade or even a look, the ps4 as it is now is still capable of playing vr and there just isnt enough 4k content to even consider this.

    Also the current ps4 will still be sold as the main console. this is going to FAIL so hard.

    Blue that wasn't a slight against the consoles. Their great strength is that they are a static platform, that they don't take any tinkering with. You buy a console and it'll be playing games as it did on the first day
    you bought it to the last day you retire it.

    When you start to take that away you remove one of the big reasons why people buy consoles.

    Understood. I really didn't take it that way... but by the same token, I think a lot of people seem (to me, at least) to see the whole 'end of days for consoles' concept as anywhere
    between 'not such a bad thing' to 'it will be better for everyone'. I don't see it that way at all.

    The static platform aspect is the reason I don't game on PC and stick with console gaming. Consoles (for me) 'set the tempo' for a specified period of time. I know that I'll pay
    a certain amount, I know about what to expect for what I pay, I know roughly how long it will be until I make another investment... and (this is important to me) I know that when I fork over that money, I'm getting something that's been redesigned from the
    ground up. It will be 'all new', not a bolstered version of what was sold to me only a year or so prior or a plug in expansion to it.

    To me, the life cycle of consoles say stability and I like that. Out with the old (completely) and in with the new sounds more appealing to me than expand upon the old and tell
    me it's new.

    You have to make sure that they are doing the upgrade deal. The only way they will do the upgrade deal is if you buy a game that comes out before the Xbox One on 360 and then when the system releases upgrade to that version. Both games you mentioned do
    not come out until like 4 months after the Xbox One release so the upgrade deal will not be honored. They will not do the upgrade deal for games that are on both systems once the Xbox One is released.

    Sorry but the Far Cry content cannot be upgraded to the Xbox One. If it's meant for the 360 then that is what it must be used for.

    However, if you have a digital copy of Destiny that was originally purchased on the 360 then you can upgrade to the Xbox One for free. The same goes for the DLC (releases tomorrow). If you purchase it on the 360 you get a free upgrade to the Xbox One version.

    The free upgrade for Destiny is only available until January 15.
