Xbox One Updates

I've been planning to trade in my Xbox 360 for the Xbox One for some. Just finishing some games before I do so.



Just a quick question about the Xbox One updates. It seems like ever since launch date of Xbox One there has been an update for every month. Will this trend continue for some time or will it have 2 major a year like the 360 had? thanks in advance!!!!

I think for now they will Keep the monthly updates. Once everybody is satisfied I beliver they will do bi-yearly updates again with Major design changes and implementations. But no word on it, just my guess.

 

I'm pretty sure they will keep the monthly updates indefinitely. People have responded well to them and have shown gratitude to Microsoft for releasing them. They like that. Even if the time comes when they don't have much to add. They'll find something
to do just to keep the act alive until people tell them to stop.

 

they have said this is the new format 1 update every month. There is also a early access program to test it before it is released into the wild. Anyone who wants more info on this just let me know and I will send a friends request so you can get in

 

My impression is that the trend will continue for a long time. The most recent update mainly brought about snapping achievements (which is awesome). All of these updates tend to also have bug fixes and other tweaks packed in. I think their goal will be
one feature / enhancement per month. Like a screenshot month (already available for beta) then maybe bluray3d support another month, better DLNA etc.

 

I'm loving the monthly updates, but who knows how long they'll continue for? Hopefully they'll carry on for a long time yet, as a lot of good stuff has been added to the console since it launched.

 

I feel like the frequency of updates is well utilised given the console's always-on ability. It'll download an update without you knowing it because it'll do it while the console is sleeping. Massively convenient.
