Xbox One: updates / settings.

Good Morning. So, I bought an Xbox one, it still hasn't arrived. I read on the Xbox website about the first settings and it said: "Note You should be online when you set up Xbox One for the first time. Without an Internet connection, you will not be
able to complete the setup. After you update your Xbox and add your profile, you can go offline. "

I'm living in another country, I don't have internet at home. So basically I will be forced to wait for internet at home to be able to play? Or can I skip the step of connecting to the internet and playing my games normally in campaign mode?

You answered your own question there, you will need internet to set up your Xbox for the first time, do you have any friends or family, or a mobile internet connection (internet on your mobile phone) you could ask/use to set up your Xbox the first time?

As you have already stated, you need internet connection for initial setup, update, account creation, if you don't have a Microsoft account already.

You can change your local settings and the region of your Xbox in the settings.

Just go to settings / system and change it to your home market.

(Would be language = english and country = Singapore in your case. )
