Xbox One Update

Does anyone know how I can force the xbox one to update ??? I always have it in "instant on" mode and the new firmware has not been downloaded. Thanks in advance.

Might try powering it down completely and starting it up again?

 

Try turning your xbox off for a few minutes. wait to see if the light on the power brick turns orange. if it does you will have the update. you will have to power it back on with a controller or the power button on the console

 

Wow, surprised u didn't get it yet. You could try turning off in power saver mode, give it a minute, then start up and power down again with instant on. I've had mine on power saver and just powered on then shut down on instant on. It downloaded while off.
U can tell by the white power light on the power brick. It then started my xbox1 for about a minute then powered down. When I powered on again update starts. Good luck.

Are you sure you don't already have it? Try pressing the guide button while at the dashboard (press, don't hold) and if you see your battery indicator in the bottom right corner it's already updated.

I didn't even realise mine had been updated. Didn't prompt me to update or anything. It just updated it.

 

Yeah I def don't have it yet. I guess I'll just wait and see if it updates in the next day or so

 

bonjour je voulais dire que franchement MICROSOFT SE FOU DE LA GUEULE DU MONDE !!!! c est abuse y a toujours cette interface qui est ultra moche et horrible a souhait.

pour reste plus que polie franchement je pense se revendre cette console je regrette de l avoir acheté bêtement, c est HONTEUX DE LA PART DE MICROSOFT de se foutre de la gueule des gens.

a 500 euros cet bouse une interface qui et méme pas ergonomique si d ailleurs on peut appelé se packtage une interface je parle méme pas des gamerpik dessiné par une classe de la maternelle le tous complétement inesthétique et déplorable.

puis génial méga technologie de la console branché un clavier alors la ...... franchement la 360 niveau interface et personnalisation c est juste mille fois mieux pour une console moins évolue bravo Microsoft

rest for more than polite frankly I think this will sell the console I regret having bought stupidly c is ASHAMED OF MICROSOFT to *** the mouths of people.

500 euros ste dung an interface that grandma and not so ergonomic d also can be called a granny interface I speak not gamerpik designed by a class of kindergarten all the unsightly and completely deplorable is packtage.

then a keyboard then the great mega technology connected console ...... frankly the 360 level and interface customization c is just a thousand times better for less evolved Bravo Microsoft console

 

Anyways, still no update? Give it 1 or 2 days. Btw if ur in an area not supported by MS u may not get it. Good luck...

 

Just got home and did mine. I had my X1 shut off for 4 days while we were on holidays. Started it up, looked at my wife and said watch the X1 blow up!!!!.....LOL>>>>>

It took about 6 minutes, then a reboot... all is good.

Ummmm..... where can an individual see there controller battery life????? I'm stumped....

 

Just hit the guide button in the middle of your controller; you'll see it next to the clock on the home screen.
