    Does anyone know if there is plans for a Xbox one update to solve - A) the fact I have to disconnect from Xbox live to install a game? 2) the stupidly long waiting time to install a new update? Considering Xbox one is a "next gen" console seems they have
    taken a step back in these areas!

    You have to disconnect from xbox live to install an update? Weird! That's not right...

    As MGF says thats not right, and if your console is on standby mode there is no waiting for updates to install.

    Like these two old timers said above ...

    You don't have to be offline to install an update. I know some advise doing the install offline and then connect to do the updates, apparently this can speed it up if it's taking it's time but again, you don't have to.

    I think the op means when he is installing a new game.

    apparently it can be quicker to do offline ?

    auto update you don't have to wait its ready to go when you start your game.

    well that's how it been for me haven't had to update anything since day one

    I believe if you have a poor internet connection trying to install while a patch is also installing can cause delays.

    So my Forza Motorsport Xbox One Edition doesn't have the new dashboard update and it's been awhile now and there's been no updates available for my Xbox one does my Xbox One not support it or wht.

    Yes, it is likely that your Xbox One will not be compatible with the new Forza Motorsport dashboard update or with game updates in general, as Microsoft is focused on the new generation of consoles, the Xbox Series X and S.
