Xbox One Update Preview (SIGN-IN FIX!)

Beta Gang,

I too was selected to preview the new update and I also had issues signing into my account.

Microsoft, when you get this, know that when we stand in front of the Kinect, an alert shows your profile icon, but doesn't sign you in, it says "Sign In using a controller" and once you try to do that and you "choose this
person" it takes you right back to the dashboard without being signed in. At this point you can't view anything, play anything, or access anything without being signed on to a profile on the Xbox one. (Which sucks!)

THE FIX

What worked for me was the Master Reset (not the Master Reboot) ...most people don't know about this but they should! To perform you must power off your Xbox One by the console (not the controller nor speaking to your Kinect) but when you
do, hold the Xbox One Power Light, it should stay on for a few seconds then shut off. If done correctly when you power your Xbox One back on, you will see the
Green Xbox One Screen and not the
Black Label Screen. What this does from my understanding is clear the Xbox One's cache/history like apps running in the background, game resumes, and things that can ultimately cause the console to respond a little slow/buggy after a while.
Once this is done, try to sign it...it should work and your system should log in as normal so you can preview and enjoy the Update.

Microsoft to catch any bugs along the way.

No 3D on Blu-ray app?

MS have said that the stuttering fix will be in the next preview update. They thought it was included in the last one but it slipped.

 

I had the same symptoms and this worked for me as well.
