    Yesterday I tried to download and installed Destiny 2: beyond light, now I seem to be getting the following error:

    "Update needed

    You need this update, but we can't get it right now. Try again in a while. (0x8b050033)"

    This seems to be a very obtuse error message as I'm unsure if it relates to the game (destiny 2) or to xbox.

    I'm on an original Xbox One.

    I've tried playing Destiny 2 and Apex Legends and neither of them start at all. Trying to play them results in this error message appearing.

    Searching through forums from the past when others have gotten this error code seemed to coincide with issues happening to the Xbox Live servers. I've looked at the Xbox Live status and there doesn't appear to be an outage. Also looked at Xbox Support
    twitter and no indications of problems there. Additionally, I checked out Bungie's twitter incase it was Destiny 2 specific and although they appeared to have issues launching beyond light it seems they have claimed they are all fixed.

    Since I am unable to play multiple games (destiny2 and Apex Legends) I'm assuming this error code is related to xbox/microsoft and not bungie specfically.

    Is there anything I can do on my end to fix this? Or is it really a case of waiting? (I've gotten this error message for the past 12 hours)

    i kinda had the same issue. Whenever i try to update destiny 2, all it does is get stuck at 0.8%.i have tried everything to fix it but nothing worked.i just need some advice cause i really want to play it.
