    Xbox One update - home overlay


    When pressing the home button midgame or while watching something in other apps, if I select my friends or messages, automatically the first friend or set of messages on the list is selected over and over, no matter if I press B or any similar thing. Turning
    my controller off and back on doesn't help, nor does using a different wireless controller or the afterglow prismatic. Hard resetting my xbox works for a very short period of time, less than half an hour, before it starts again. A chat with a support agent
    said it isn't hardware related, and I was asked to make a report here as well as her noting it down. I don't know if there's a solution to this, but if there is I would appreciate someone replying with it as this makes it hard to navigate messages and communicate
    with people, and doubly hard to carry out some of my duties in helping with staff in a community clan. Thank you ^.^

    Xbox One Update

    After turning on my Xbox One it goes to the home screen and logs me in. Then an overlay appears telling me that an update is available and to use my remote to either chose to update now or later. However the remote can't manipulate the overlay. It only manipulates
    the home screen in the background. I can't get the overlay to go away so I can't play games or watch TV.

    HELP!!!!

    Hi

    If a hard reset has not resolved you problem you could look at restoring your console to factory default settings selicting the option to keep games and apps. Please make sure you know all account passwords prior to completing this.

    Did Microsoft change the party overlay to make it more to the corner of the screen?

    It's the new update for the MK 2 operating system on Xbox one consoles the update you have noticed is a bug fix for the issues they have been having with party overlay and party chats

    In order to turn off voice overlay you need to go to party settings, which would be in the xbox dashboard (when you press the home button on your controller) and then after going on party settings you should see voice overlay as one of the options. You
    can move where you want it to be and change the transparency of the box, or turn it off all together.

    I updated and reset the apps and it still didn't work. Forgot to mention that I was talking about Nvidia In-Game Overlay. Xbox Game Bar works perfectly fine, it's just the Nvidia In-Game Overlay that doesn't work properly.

    Check your antivirus and disable VPN

    Verify the game files

    Disable overclocking

    Update your BIOS

    Disable Discord overlay

    Disable Steam overlay
