Xbox one update forces install of whole game

Discus and support Xbox one update forces install of whole game in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Everytime I have a update for one of my games, it makes me install the whole (however many GB the game is entirely).     Everytime I have a update for one of my games, it makes me install the whole (however many GB the game is entirely). Why is this happening??

    I've only had this happen when the game file is corrupt. Could possibly mean there is an issue with your HDD.

    As my fellow Ambassadors had mentioned could be various of things. Usually happens when old content in still in the game they remove it by reinstalling the game with the new update to remove bugs, various other errors. I know Crossout recent
    update had to re-install the game for the new patch it's just too ensure that all the bugs and old content are removed from causing any issues with the game. Too ensure nobody has any run in issues. With it in the future!

    Normally if there is a significant update failure then the game can be removed sparking a full install. This is a pretty rare occurrence though, should not be happening all the time.

    Any chance you are using an external HDD and there is a connection problem? Normally the only time a full re-install is required is if you get a partial update or something causing the update to fail.
