    Xbox one update fails at Verifying Update


    Hello, i don't know if this the right place for this, but I've been trying to update my console since Friday(09/14/2025) but the update fails while Verifying Update step(40%), i tried resetting the Xbox(keeping games and apps, and also full reset) but the problem remains, i believe the box is on Insider Program(possible added buy the previous owner which i don't have access to), i think that because i have tried offline update and it fails also with error E01 00000504 8B050041 (while searching on internet i saw that if the console in insider program wont update with USO1 file).

    I would like to know from you if there is a way to remove the console from Insiders Program without access to the account that was used to add it? If no is there a way to solve this update error?
    Note that I've been using this xbox for 1 Year, never had problems with update, while accessing Microsoft account device pages there is this information:

    Operating system Compilation: 10.0.26100.5713 (if it helps)

    does on xbox a lot of the time, but i have had it happen with forza 3 and 4 on pc and halo mcc, so i gave up and bought on steam as steam can verify files and i never get a failed update.

    It doesnt help that alot of the games are in vxd format (virtual xbox disc) and basically is an image.

    but i think halo mcc is just files but in the encrypted folders, i dont think windows can verify the files if the update fails.

    Thanks for the update on the issue with the failed update. If the issue persists with the failed update, try this: Xbox One System Update Solution
    and click on Update My Console Offline.

    Give this a try and let us know the results.

    yes that would be true if the console continued to be functional and updating with the beta updates. multiple years of multiple consoles in the beta ive had this happen 3-5 time whether it be from failed updates or failed hard drives. on my sons console that is not in the beta but has just updated to the may dashboard, the number is high that what this one is asking for. so just like the previous times, once the osu file is higher than what the console is asking for it will update with no issues. this has already been verified with the tech team over the phone multiple times in the past.

    I did as you suggested.

    First time it did full factory reset but after some time it asked to download language package and failed to verify it it failed to update. I tried to reset again and this time it stopped at Update step and tried to download language package. Previously
    this step was passed. And this time it failed to Verify. I tried it again and it can't even Download the package...

    I have checked connection speed. There is no issue. Download 64 / Upload 6 MBps...
