XBox One Update Failed and Device Unusable

I've used a mifi device in the past with no issues, but the beta update kills the network speed making it almost unusable.

Kinda sucky as I only got it to play xbox with.

After rolling out of insider I got a system update. But it failed. Now my xbox one x not starting up. Even osu1 update failed. Please help.

Unenrolling or changing down to a lower Insider ring usually requires a factory refresh.

To start a OSU you must of booted up the console troubleshooting screen.

If you get the console troubleshoot screen, your console is not, "bricked", unusable.

If you are using wired ethernet to connect to your network hardware, disconnect it before attempting the Offline System Update.

Often in the older 360 consoles with the built in memory unit, this issue will occur.

When the memory unit fails, the Xbox sees that there's an update available since it can't see the update that was on the storage device. When the Xbox tries to download/install the update, the update can't install because of the failed storage device.

Does your Xbox 360 have the memory unit and/or the hard drive?

As there are many different types of storage devices. As other stated are you trying this on another Xbox 360 or an Xbox one? What type of content besides games are on this USB? As changes and updates have come there may be content on there that is copyright
protected and unusable on the 360 any longer. What type of USB is it?

If you're receiving updates that frequently, then it is very likely that your console is enrolled in an Xbox Insiders Build.

As you can see here, there were two system updates this month, but the one before that was August. I would recommend reviewing if your console is enrolled,

and unenroll it if you would not like as frequent system updates.
