    XBox one update fail


    Hi,

    I've have a developer xb1 and I'm trying to update it. Before I install the latest dev patch, I need to get the consumer update working and this is currently failing for me, to the point where I can't install anything new as the xbox says that it needs
    to install an update before it can do that, then fails with the following error code:

    0x87E00004

    which, unfortunately, isn't listed on the code look up tool on this site. I've tried resetting the machine to factory default (first keeping my apps, then removing them) and also power cycling the machine (5 seconds on the logo power button then turning
    off mains for 30 seconds) but to no avail.

    Could somebody please let me know what that error code means and if there's anything I can do?

    Accessories Application unable to Update. Cannot be used.

    Yep the one in the Xbox Store. Downloads to Xbox one hard drive ok, but then tries to update before launching and fails.

    Xbox One System Update Fails

    Hi BR! Given that you've tried the connection and console troubleshooting steps, I would recommend trying the following link:

    support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

    This walks you through the process of downloading the "offline system update diagnostic tool" which allows you to troubleshoot issues with downloading/applying a system update. It looks like you'll need OSUDT2.

    Thanks for the update on the issue with the failed update. If the issue persists with the failed update, try this: Xbox One System Update Solution
    and click on Update My Console Offline.

    Give this a try and let us know the results.
