    Just bought and xbox one and it wants to update. It gets 20% of the way through befor displaying a message at the bottom of the screen saying "Sorry, looks like our service isn't working right. To check xbox live service status....". Any suggestions? (i've
    tried turning to off and on a again a few times, just keeps happening)

    Hi

    You can also try clearing the MAC address to see if that helps

    Settings - All settings - Network settings- Advanced network settings- Alternate MAC address- Clear- Reset.

    Your console will reset itself at that point

    yeah its been pretty *** up for several days now. I suspect an update in the xbox one for messing up our internet connection to live. I check the update in the system settings part of the xbox one and it says update pending, which makes me think its a ***

    Yes it's possible to do this, I think only the kinect version of the console can control the TV if you not using an IR extension cable on the console on top of that you will still need to input codes for TV you have, so this should mean it will not control
    the TV.
