Xbox One unusable after update.

Today, after a random xbox update, my console rebooted and it's very slow and well, completely unusable. The farthest I've gotten to playing a game, is launching Warzone and getting the initial launch screen that appears with every game. I can't access the troubleshooting screen because the sync button just disappeared after it was sent out to get fixed by people at Xbox.

Try to turn off the console, and unplug the power cord, then wait for 1 to 2 minutes to plug it back in and turn on the console!

If the issue persists, I would strongly suggest trying the troubleshooting steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear

Then select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

Also, It would be best if you can delete the local save of the games you are facing troubles launching.

If the issue keeps on happening, try to soft reset the console by; Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Hey there Lon! I understand you are having some update issues. Did the update finally complete without error? Are you unable to connect to LIVE at this time? Please describe the behavior you are experiencing for me.

the dashboard update may have made your xbox unusable (if its an old one that after the new dashboard update from yesterday I think, will kill some old xboxs but MS is replacing them for free). But chances are its a disc issue. Im gonna assume that the disc
itself is in good shape? Are you able to play other games without issue?

Op is not asking for a free gamertag change.

No one knows when or if they will release any unused gamertags in the future,highly doubt it after last time.

Remember gamertags are used on other services,not just xbox live,so you can't know if the tag is unused or not.

Mine is also completely unusable after the recent updates. I hope they fix the glitch quickly, as the remote is such a great way to control media.
