Xbox One Unresponsive

Yesterday I started downloading AC Unity, and after a while when I came back to check how much downloaded, the screen was almost frozen except I could only bring up the Turn off console/controller menu and that was it. Now whenever I turn my Xbox off and
on again, it opens to dashboard but is still frozen and I can still only bring up the xbox menu. I can't switch screens or even move around the main page. The main box is just a black square, not the picture of the game in the disc tray. Any help is appreciated.

Xbox one unresponsive

My xbox fitness app crashed mid workout and took me back to the home screen. Now my kinect won't work at all and neither controller is responsive. The box will still start up and show the home screen, but it will not do anything else. HELP!

All I can warn you is go through their support asap because once you are past the one year warranty I guess you are no longer valued as a customer by Microsoft. But from what I've seen and heard from other is it doesn't matter, all the consoles are going
to have controller connection issues (their patch didn't help at all) and disk reading issues along with all the other issues Its just a poorly built system. Good luck.

 

Hey mate, this may seem like a silly questions, but did you completely disconnect the console from the power? If you have auto-on active, maybe the console is actually shutting down properly?

I'm guessing the above worked for you Cheech? I only seek feedback because I'm not fully confident in my Xbox One knowledge yet.

 

I'm having similar problem. Every time I start my Xbox One it hangs at the home screen with two loading circles. There is no pins, friends or store tabs, just the home stuff. I can move around with the controller but nothing works when hit A button. It seems
it can't get info from xbox live. I have to hard reboot it to get it to work every time now.

 

This says that this thread is solved. I don't think powering down and restarting the device every time to change games is 'solved.' I have 3 box ones for the family and all of them exhibit this behavior, it's very frustrating.

Even sometimes in the middle of games if I snap someting or go to the home screen for party or what ever it just hangs and must be rebooted. VERY frustrating in games like minecraft where in this situation you cannot choose save when you power down.

^Ah, are you the original poster? No? Well then no wonder it didn't solve YOUR issue as this thread was meant to solve the OP's issue and nothing more.

If you have a support issue, make your own thread so that solutions can be tailored to YOUR specific problem, this solution is not meant to solve everyone's issues.....

 

I had this happen twice now and we have only had this Xbox one for 5 days. Unpluging works but not a fix.
