Xbox One Unplayable - Disconnected from Xbox Live every 3-10 Mins

Recently I have been almost completely unable to play any game on Xbox Live for longer than 3-10 mins without my Xbox Live connection disconnecting for a few seconds. My profile appears to be still signed in and I have interment connection, but my Xbox Live
appears to momentarily disconnect, which forces me out of any game im playing online.

For example, I could be playing the Gears 4 beta, halfway through a round and then im returned to the main menu saying connection lost. I press the guide button and im disconnected from Xbox Live, but still signed in. A few seconds later, its back, but its
too late as its already kicked me out of the game.

Over the last week this has gotten significantly worse and more frequent to the point where its down to about 3 mins of gametime before a disconnect.

None of my other devices (PC, Other consoles, Mobile, Tablets etc) have any sign in/out or connection issues and all work perfectly fine. The issue is strictly limited to my Xbox. Of note, I dont have them all on at the same time, ive tried having everything
off and only the Xbox on.

My internet has both a 2G and 5G option. Ive tried both and both make no difference.

When I run a connection test or multiplayer connection test both tell me my internet is great and fine for Xbox Live use and online play.

Solutions Ive tried and did not work:

- Restarting my Router

- Restating and clearing my Xbox One

- Deleting and re-adding my profile to my Xbox One

- Deleting my connection settings and starting from scratch

- Trying the 2G and 5G versions of my connection

Ive had my Xbox One since day one and only in the last few months have these issues arisen. Currently im almost completely unable to play any game via live.

randomly getting disconnected

i was playin and bout 10 min into playing i got randomly disconnected from xbox live but i could sign back in and it would work but kept on disconnecting me after bout 10 min

Okay so I havent been able to use my xbox seince the new update it will let me on xbox live for 10 mins then bam! disconnected from xbox live for no reason.

 

try a wired connection and see if problem goes away...

 

Wired is not possible for me. My Router is fixed in the next room.

 

wired is always possible , it may be inconvenient to move this or that but that's how you troubleshoot ... what is the brand and model of the router ? you might be using one that has "known issues"....

 

As a side note the Xbox One is not compatible with 5Ghz wifi when using WPA2-PSK security. And while wired is always a possibility in some cases it may not be even the least bit practical. Go into your routers settings and add your XB1's MAC address and
give it a static IP. While in there increase the "lease time" on IP assignment. This might help. Better yet assign the XB1 an IP on the console outside of your routers DHCP range. If you only have one XB360 + XB1 port forward 3074 to the IP you just set.

Also note your wireless will run at the speed of the slowest device connected. So to test unhook EVERY other wireless device while testing to make sure it isn't part of the problem.

 

@Sm in 1080p I'm having the same issues. But the stupid thing is, this isn't the first time it's happened. Xbox live services for Xbox one has had more issues then I can count. I've not had these issues with Xbox or Xbox 360. The only thing that seems to
fix the issues for a short time is when Xbox live goes completely down for maintenance. Honestly I don't think Microsoft has the ability to maintain the 300,000 servers and all its players.

 

@Tiger Claws, thanks, at least that means im not alone with this one.

@Bimnog without altering my house, it kind of is for me. Id have to start drilling walls and installing new cables to get wired to my Xbox. Plus I dont see how this is a "troubleshoot" solution as my connection was fine up untill 1 month ago. If ive had
3 years of Wifi gaming with Xbox one, why should I changed to wired now if the issues clearly not that.

FYI I have a Virgin Media Superhub 2.

 

superhubs are the WORST for wireless on xbox one....many known issues , you can check it in the Virgin Media forums , wired is the only good connection with this router ....if you MUST stay wireless , you may have to get a different router ....you could
reset the router to factory defaults and see if it helps ...."drilling holes" takes seconds , I have run MILES of cable...easy peasy....
