Xbox one uninstalls games completely by itself. Any reason why?

So we download games on our Xbox One, and then we can usually play them at least once. Then, randomly we'll turn the console on and they will be completely gone out of nowhere. This didn't start happening until early December, and we've not been able to figrue out why. This has happ with numerous games, such as Fortnite, Apex, Need for Speed Payback&Heat, Watch Dogs Legion, and many others. We've power cycles the console, cleared saved data, and many other things to no avail. Help?

I have had the same thing happen to me a few times and some of the time it is because my hard drive had crashed after I turned my xbox off.

It be may a case of your xbox not recognising them in the games and apps section of your xbox as downloaded to check that go into the Microsoft store and search the game you're looking for amd it may show up that you need to download it or it will say launch this game or app.

If that doesn't work I would factory reset the xbox and reinstall the games that you want to play and once you have finished them delete them to clear up space.

There was an issue today with purchasing content on Xbox Live which appears to be fixed now, but it could have caused this to happen. It's unfortunate timing but shouldn't happen again.

In the unlikely event that this ever repeats itself, let us know and we can try to troubleshoot.

If the install is interrupted for any reason it will uninstall itself to protect your hardware and software.
