Xbox One uninstalling 4 games itself.

Dear All,

Last night after playing 45minutes of The Division. I logged off the Xbox and now, some 22 hours later I reboot just to play a little more. But find an error (cannot remember the error code) saying I need to install this game, all the DLC is still installed
and now it is going through a 45 gig install with a 19 gig patch. This is not good enough as FOUR games in total have deleted themselves. I have checked these forums and found nothing really to help.

What a waste of 12 hours of internet, power and time. Please help sort this out.

There was an issue today with purchasing content on Xbox Live which appears to be fixed now, but it could have caused this to happen. It's unfortunate timing but shouldn't happen again.

In the unlikely event that this ever repeats itself, let us know and we can try to troubleshoot.

 

Game uninstalling itself ! Why ???

downloaded a game over the weekend period then started playing it Sunday and Monday night, logged into live today and it says game needed an update, game ran through its update and when I opened it to play game it disappeared. Went into my games and apps
tab and game no longer there.... Having to reinstall again ? Anyone have the same problem or know how I could fix it ? Really frustrating as going to have to leave overnight to redownload !!!!

One game uninstalled itself for no reason. Note that I had recently changed Microsoft password. Reinstall took <1hr but still...

Today one day later. All games but 6 are uninstalled. Still seem to show space reserved for those games. Did soft restart. No fix. Not just games but apps as well. I don't see what's happening here 9/5/2018

 

Just experienced this myself. No answers so far, only unanswered dead ends.

I literally only play two of my games. D3 and Rocket League.

Until this Diablo season ended, I had been neglecting Rocket League. Decided to play RL tonight, only to find it no longer in my shortcuts.

Or installed games.

Did a reset and still in the Ready to Install list. 8 more gb to go >:|.

How and why can things uninstall themselves?

 

If game is on external hard drive and it fails to be detected, game is uninstalled. Western digital 3tb drive is dead after less than 2yrs. About to install Hitachi drive. Same with internal drive I guess but haven't had that fail yet

 

Tell me about it I just found that 429 games I have installed are not installed anymore and for no reason at all this will drive me nuts to reinstall them all!!!

 

I did a reset on the console and got it fixed now

 

In most cases a power cycle where you hold power for 10 seconds but in your case I have seen this myself it usually happens after system updates. Also another possibility is you were sharing game from friend and they changed home. It will remove game.

 

I did a full reset to factory after full power cycle. What is odd though, I only had one game no mans sky uninstalled at first. Most definitely on the external drive. Reinstalled. No problems until next day. All but a few uninstalled. Including apps.
Did full power cycle no change. Full shutdown. Switched the USB drive to opposite port. Had another usb flash drive on there and switched it simultaneously. Reboot and it shows drive and all games installed. Play no mans sky. I think drive unmoumted again.
Uninstalled just the ones on drive. Removed drive to my PC. Did not recognize drive on usb3. Mounted it off a usb2 port but no partition data. Wd drive utility passed all but deep scan. Erased, then repartition and attempted format. Three times. Fail.

 

Hey there,

Are you currently gamesharing your account with someone else ? The reason I'm asking is that I've experienced this before and it turned out that when the person you're gamesharing with uninstalls a game on his console it MIGHT be uninstalled form your console.

If that's not the case for you, I suggest you reset your console (Choose the "Keep my apps and games option").
