    Xbox One unable to control Cisco 4742HDC Cable Box


    I have a Xbox one. My provider is Time Warner cable and my cable box is Cisco 4742 HDC. I recently purchased an IR extension cable and I am having and issue changing my one guide channels for my cable box. The IR cables are working fine and I have trouble
    shooted my one guide and I have contacted Xbox support but when I go to enter my cable box remote code it does not appear.Can this box model be added to One Guide Thank you.

    Help with Cisco 9865HDC cable box!!

    My Xbox one will not control the Cisco 9865HDC cable box. I even bought IR blaster to set in front of cable box and it still will not control it. The xbox will control my tv and surround sound though.

    I have a Cisco 4742HDC with Cox and it works fine except any time i change channels through oneguide it brings up a show details window on the cable box that takes up most of the screen. It can only be closed by using the cable boxes remote.

    I have the same issue with a Cisco 4742HDC from Cox. The problem started about a week ago HDMI cable was a little loose reseated it and it stopped for a day. It started again so I'm going to trade in the box and hope for the best.

    I am having this exact same issue. I'm in Rochester , NY. For example "watch cbs" takes you to channel 1008, which no longer exists instead of just going to channel 8. I have the cisco 4742HDC cable box.

    I had the same problem with the info box coming up whenever I changed channels on Cisco 4742HDC. Setting code 0877 fixed it for me! Thanks!

    Oh that's right.

    I can confirm Stumblinh with the Cisco 4742HDC and "2d". When my problem ocurred the 4742HDC would go back and forth between the time and "2d" in the display
