Xbox one Two day trial not working

My xbox live gold expired and I bought Gears of War Ultimate Edition it came with the 2 day Xbox Live trial I put it in it accepted it but didn't give me two days I can't join friends parties or play any games......what happend??

Didn't receive Live

I redeemed two xbox live gold trials (one 2-day and one 14-day)

I'm not sure why i haven't received my days.

Thanks for the support message.

Two day trials normally only grant certain features and these trials wont even show up on your account at account.microsoft.com either. Your account currently shows that it is gold if you're posting from the account you're having problems with. Two day
trials normally only allow you to play multiplayer for the specific game title it came with. It has VERY limited access.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. AFAIK, Trials will only work for new accounts or if you are using an account who have not yet used a trial or a regular Xbox Live Gold subscription yet. So if you said that you did use a regular subscription before and got
expired, then a trial will not work on your account anymore. I'll be glad to know if I'm wrong with this.

Trials will work with any account that does not have gold. It doesn't matter if you've previous had gold or not.

When you create an Xbox profile linked to a Microsoft account, you do get a one time free month of Xbox LIVE. Keep in mind that you can only take advantage of that 30 day free trial of Xbox LIVE if you link a CC to your account because it automatically
turns on auto-renewal on a month-to-month basis that they will be charged on their account anniversary date for $9.99+. Once you turn off auto-renewal though, you can not get another free month of Xbox LIVE though unless you create a new Xbox profile linked
to another Microsoft account.

2-day-trials are trial subscriptions you get for purchasing a game most of the time. These codes are provided by the game developer so most issues with 2-day-trials are going to be directed to the game developer instead of Xbox Support with it being a 3rd
Party thing but it is an Xbox Sub.

I would also like to add that the 14 day trial I got with the xbox one console does not work either. I read somewhere that some trials you obtain are game specific (don't know if that's true or not) but one the back of those two xbox one membership trials
it does say it can be reedemed on the console but yet they don't work?
