Xbox One two day trial not allowing me to join or create parties

i have redeemed a trial but it won't allow me to join or create parties. i was wondering what the point of the gold trial is then if i can't even join parties

I’m using a 14 day trial but I can’t join Xbox live parties or join or start a Minecraft world that’s all I’m trying to do

Xbox one Two day trial not working

My xbox live gold expired and I bought Gears of War Ultimate Edition it came with the 2 day Xbox Live trial I put it in it accepted it but didn't give me two days I can't join friends parties or play any games......what happend??

Gold trials typically unlock multiplayer for the game the trial came with, not full access to Xbox Live Gold benefits. If you would like to start and join parties, along with access to Multiplayer and Games with Gold, an Xbox Live Gold subscription will be
the best solution.

I tried on two different IPhones. One is 16.2 and the other one is 15.7.2. Neither phone allows me to join a party. Both phones have the exact same result.

well, that's weird... because whenever i use a 48 hour trial i'm able to join parties and create my own
