    Xbox One Twitch Streams are 1080p only?


    I don't have an Xbox One currently and am trying to get it. My older brother has one. And when i wanted to broadcast my gameplay to Twitch via his XBOne, he told me that I couldn't adjust the quality of Stream (1080p, 720p, 480p) or adjust the bit rate.
    He said this was all part of a Twitch / Xbox One Update.

    is this true?

    Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Xbox One automatically sticks to 1080p. So yes, I believe your brother was telling the truth.

    Twitch app streams at 720p by default. However, you can adjust the bit rate of that stream by selecting the following speeds within the app before broadcasting:

    • Recommended (~2500kbps)
    • High (2000kbps)
    • Medium (1400kbps)
    • Low (800kbps)

    Mister Beep, i see that you are from official support, but xbox one broadcasts at 720p and 30fps, not native 1080p.

    Please correct me if this has changed.
