Xbox One Twitch App Viewing Issue

Same exact problem here as well, my ISP is Shaw in Canada.

An ISP problem? How the heck does that even make sense? Twitch is available on my other devices including the Xbox 360. If this was an "ISP problem" wouldn't it be broken there too? Right now the only device in my home that cannot stream Twitch is X1. I
thought I broke the app somehow because I broadcasted a stream of PvZ that was the last time it worked, but thanks to this thread, I now know that was a coincidence.

Hey everyone!

Sorry to hear about the issue with viewing videos while using the Twitch app. If you haven't already, I recommend trying the following steps to see if we can get this issue sorted:

• First, start by uninstalling and reinstalling the Twitch app.
  
• Once you have reinstalled the Twitch app, press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
  
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Unplug the power cord to your router, modem or gateway.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console, router, modem or gateway.
• Power on your console and load the Twitch app and check to see if the issue is continuing to occur.

Also having this issue while viewing Twitch streams. Very frustrating.

 

Also, you should update your live status to reflect this issue as of now it says Twitch is fully functional which it isn't.

I am having the issue also and I am Canadian.

 

This is just ridiculous, get your act together twitch

 

Its unbeliveble twitch dont care about canada i want a fix NOW.

 

A workaround for this issue is changing your region in Xbox one settings to USA. Then after the restart try to watch a stream on twitch. The first attempt might crash twitch but if you restart the app and try again it should work. Worked for me. Would be
nice to get a real fix though.

 

Any eta on a fix? This is getting annoying...it's been weeks now.

 

No ETA yet. Because it's an ISP issue it's taking time to identify them, contact them, get network traces, etc. I know it's frustrating; both MS and Twitch are actively investigating. I'll bump the thread if I get any new information.

 

i can not watch on my xbox one and i am with Telus in canada.
