    Xbox One TV Tuner Issues


    Hi guys,

    So after the march update it seems like my TV tuner has stopped working.

    I've been in touch with Support chat, for over an hour, and tried:

    • Power cycling my Xbox and tuner
    • Removing my profile.
    • Trying it without signing in.
    • i tried my aerial through a TV without the tuner and the signal is fine so that's not the issue.
    The problem is that it it finds all my channels and then at the last second stops with the message:

    Something went wrong. Unable to scan your channels please try again later.

    It's been that way for days

    Any advice? I can't even register the tuner with Xbox as the serial number isn't recognised!

    Xbox One TV Tuner Issues

    Hello,

    After firing up my Xbox One X this morning 1/6/18 it seems like my TV tuner has stopped working.

    I've been in touch with Support chat and here are the options they had me try:

    • Power cycling my Xbox and tuner
    • Removing my profile.
    • Trying it without signing in.
    • i tried my aerial through a TV without the tuner and the signal is fine so that's not the issue.
    • Also they sent me a link to try to run a couple more troubleshooting options but no luck there either
    The problem is that it it finds all my channels and then at the last second stops with the message:

    Something went wrong. Unable to scan your channels please try again later.

    I have used the tuner for 11 months now with no issues. Not sure where to go from here.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Hey there JohnnyMerciless!

    Sorry to hear about the Xbox TV Tuner issue! Let's begin by following these steps below:

    • Press the Menu button on your Xbox One controller and select 'Settings'.
    • In the Settings menu, select 'TV & OneGuide'.
    • Select 'Troubleshooting'.
    • Select Reset TV Settings.
    • From here, set up OneGuide again along with your TV Tuner.
    If the issue persists after following those steps, your adapter may need to be replaced. To begin that process, register your Xbox One console on the Online Service center page and then request
    a repair through the Accessories portal.
