Xbox One TV picture not showing.

My tv provider is Comcast.

I have my Xbox hooked up to my cable box through HDMI in and my HDMI to VGA to a projector.

Rng150 Motorola, I actually use a projector not a TV... but it is a Sony 3LCD serial numbers: 3005113

I am very frustrated with this issue, So I have detected the signal from the cable box but no picture is showing up. I have spent numerius hours of calling people trying to figure out this issue...

This problem only occurs when I watch TV I can play games just fine.

Here are all the troubleshooting steps we tried to assist you further:

. Hard reset for 10 seconds.

. Unplugged console for a few minutes.

. Unplugged all cables in cable box for several minutes.

. changed hdmi cables. (Twice)

. Made sure console was plugged into the wall.

. Tried matching resolution. Xbox one - 1080p - Set-top box - 1080p

. Tried switching to 720p on both devices

HDMI Troubles even after damaged HDMI output was replaced

Hey there Lynchmob212.

If you reset your video settings while connected to your TV and it's still not showing picture but showing on other televisions, it sounds like the issue is on the TV side of things. Do you have another TV in your home you can test?

No picture

I am having trouble seeing a picture. Once the console is turned, the tv says NO SIGNAL, then I have reset display setting an its still not showing no picture or sound. I hooked it up to another tv still the same thing. Please help!!

Maybe you set-top box has HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) enabled. If so, your vga adapter won't work because VGA is analog Video signal.

It probably does use data. My regular tv guide doesn't have the picture of the show on it. The one guide shows the cover of the show on it.

Same problem. I had this once the first time I turned the Xbox One on, but it's happened two or three more times since the update. It hasn't interrupted a game or anything yet, so my main concern is whether this is going to continue to be a minor inconvenience
or if it's a sign of a bigger problem with my console.

I have it also, seems the the last patch messed up something with the coding. All we can do is sit and wait for microsoft to launch another patch to fix the mess but who knows when that will happen. Anyway, the easiest way to *fix it* is to hold power for
8-10 secs then unplug wait 30 seconds and then plug it back in. It will fix it for around 40-60 minutes (for me atleast) then it will go black again.
