xbox one TV in 50hz, System on 60hz || germany

hello, got a new xbox one last week and everything is just fine. tv works as aspected and the 50hz problem regarding tv in europe also is solved.. so the picture quality is fine..

BUT: when i'm switching back from tv to startmenue the screen always turns black because the tv is switching back to 60hz...

is it possible to set the Video Output of the xbox one to permanently 50 hz ??? otherwhise the fluid transitions are not possible...

    Thanks for your answers! Chris

    :)

    50hz upscaling to 60hz?

So I understand that the xbox one can read 50hz media.

I am considering purchasing a blu ray disc from the uk that is encoded in 50hz, and I am in the usa.

Will my xbox upscale the 50hz media to 60hz, or will it just read the 50hz media? I have a 60hz TV, and am not sure if the media would play smoothly; im guessing that it would play well if the xbox upscales, but not play if the xbox just reads 50hz media
and doesn't convert it for the tv to display.

    Thanks

Will Xbox One convert PAL to NTSC

It should be ok, with Modern TV's it's not so much of an issue.

The Xbox can accept a 50hz PAL signal and will display it on a 60hz NSTC TV if you are using HDMI.

If your TV can handle a 50hz signal, then this will get rid of the stutter and the Xbox will automatically switch between 50hz and 60hz as needed if you enable it in the video settings.

    Hi,

I'd recommend not doing this as it will degrade your experience on the rest of the xbox one. Gaming included.

Unfortunately, here in Europe (UK for me) the 'best' experience isn't the smoothest.

Hi Obsidian Walker, thanks for your recomandation... with 60hz the tv experience is very blurry so the 50 hz solution is far better.. but the main Output of the console is 60hz, the Dashboard, the games... and so the tv has always to switch between the two
Output formats...the short dark Screen of the tv included...

I don't see any differences in using games or the Dashboard on 50hz...would be nice to have an option..

now the result is that the experience is not as fluid as in america..

but perhaps they'll find an answer on that Problem...

Could this solve my problems?? Check out the Link:

I think it could be possible to convert the european tv PAL Signal (50hz) to NTSC (60hz) and the console can always stay in 60 hz mode...

    what do you think??

will there be a patch for the 50hz/60hz problem ?

There is an Xbox one update coming within the next few hours. It states that there will be improvements to Xbox one's TV. I have no idea if it fixes the 50hz issue. Expecting a fix through this patch is probably wishful thinking as there has been no major
    announcement.
