    Xbox One TV Guide starts listing at a higher channel than necessary


    Maybe a minor annoyance, but the channels from my provider start at 1 and go up from there and reccircle at 1000.

    Xbox one guide starts the listing at 1000, so you must memorize the long channel number. Provider is brighthouse

    I am using the Xbox One Media remote to control the TV. Everything works as it should. I can change channels. Volume up/down works. However . . .

    When I select a channel in OneGuide and press the OK button on the Xbox Remote, it will change the channel, but pops up Comcast TV Listings screen. So I'm basically changing the channel with the Xbox and then having to pick up the stupid Comcast remote to
    close the dang TV Listings. This happens if I use voice command as well. Changing the channel one channel at a time with the Xbox remote works as it should - not TV Listing screen popping up. I hate Comcast with every fiber of my being so I gather this is
    a Comcast issue. Anyone experience this and/or know how to fix? I just want it to go the channel like normal, not open the TV Listing!

    Grrrrr, I hate Comcast!

    The only thing I can think of, is when I change the channel one at a time and it works as it should, a brief Comcast message appears on screen saying "Press OK to view Guide." It seems as if the OK button is being transmitted after the channel number gets
    sent. Any ideas?

    Comcast HD channels gone from One Guide after September Update

    I'm in the SF Bay Area and have cable through Comcast. I've had the XBox One since day one and this is the first time I've had channels disappear/not show up. Both the regular channels listing and the favorites listing on the One Guide stop at channel 735.
    Meanwhile, my Comcast guide goes up to channel 1091. This problem occurred at err the recent September update. Please advise.

    I get the TV Guide now, but I can't change channels using my xbox remote or the one guide TV listing.

    Intro and a few questions if I may.

    "Xbox go to One Guide" will bring up the guide... from there it will be our basic on screen TV guide... you can also have a custom one guide to show your apps and Netflix shows etc on the guide as channels.... The guide still needs overall work... they
    do need the change the channel listing for voice.... I watch a local sports channel .... if I say Xbox watch SNYHD2.. it has not a clue... we need it to be more like... Xbox watch channel 60

    Me personally though....I rarely use the guide... my TV service (Optimum IO, has like 1000 channels.. and I use a different set of HD channels that what the XB thinks I should use) I use the cable box OEM remote... just much easier to navigate channels...

    HDMI Pass-through Question

    To take full advantage the cable/ TV box will need to be HDMI CEC. This will give Xbox One the ability to change channels via the Xbox One TV guide. If not CEC you will have to use TV box remote to change channels.

    Whats up with this forum? How do i quote a reply. Now my box is actually functioning with my xb1. Just not properly. I can power on and off. I could also change channels.

    The xb1 guide is actually spot on for the most part. Its just that when select a channel whether i say "xbox watch" or select via the one guide. 70% of the time it goes to an unrelated non hd channel. For example ESPN will go to low def channel 9.

    I have the guide set to HD Only. Also what Weird is that after the xb1 changes the channel to some random low def channel. I usually grab the stb remote so that i could put it on the channel its supposed to be on. And when i pull up the stb guide. It lists
    a different channel than both the xb1 guide and from the one thats actually being played on the tv.

    Basically everything is out of sync.

    I'm not familiar with the TV One guide as I do not use it, however I have found a couple of support links that should help you out. The third link is about how to record programs using the one guide and your xbox remote controller but by accessing a Skybox
    etc..

    Unfortunately I don't think you can record programs from the one guide straight to an external hard drive.
