Xbox One - TV from Sky App Not Working

I've spoken to someone from support about this so hopefully that might get things moving. They did say they were not aware of any issues about this problem.

I am having the same problem. Only Sky news works. Really disapointing.

Me and my father are having the same problem both got separate consoles too.

My friends have the same problem too.

It's since the latest September update. Microsoft please sort this out.

For those who are having problems with Now TV, that's powered by sky so that's probably why.

It's defo an Xbox problem as the app works on ps3 etc

I have reported the problem through the app, I was reading on the sky go forums that this appears to be a HDCP issue with no timeline provided by microsoft for the fix, is there any way to roll back to a previous update until they fix this?

If you opt out of the preview programme, your console will perform a factory reset. All games and anything saved locally will be wiped. Not a problem, apart from the time to re-download everything, except if you play Fallout 4 modded. Your mods will be lost,
and any no longer available on bethesda.net will be gone for good.

It looks like everyone in this thread are all in the Xbox One Preview Program. If you are, please be sure to report any issues you come across using the Feedback app and then visit our Preview
Program forums for further information. If you hold down the Xbox button on your Xbox One controller and the option to report feedback pops up along with turning off your controller/console, then you'll know you're in the preview program.

Hai everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that the issue has been fixed for me. My Xbox One console just had an update and it looks like any errors with Sky have been fixed. Make sure to check your Sky and let me know if it works for you now. Thank

Hi Luk396!

From how I understand it, the only way to access Sky Go is through the TV from Sky app on Xbox One and Series X|S consoles.

Xbox One and Series X|S console apps - some apps may not be available in your country/region.

Set up TV from Sky on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S - step by step guide, which also mentions:

Please be aware that Sky Go Extra is referred to as TV from Sky when downloading or selecting the app on your console.

So don’t listen to anything that says you need the Sky Go app, as this app isn’t available on Xbox consoles. I believe you can access the service through the Sky app on Xbox One, as long as you’re connected to Xbox Live and have Sky Go Extra on your Sky account.

The Sky Go app is available on compatible smartphones, tablets, laptops etc. Just not on consoles, which explains why you’re unable to find it on your Xbox One.

Same issue, since the latest preview update for me. Definately not a problem with my set up/cables or subscriptions. You will find that you are able to watch the Sky News channel, as it is unecrypted. The update has clearly broken the app's ability to check
your Sky subscription to see which channels should be available to you.
