XBOX ONE - TV FREEZE / LOST CONNECTION ISSUE

It's pathetic that you make all the proper connections, and use the supplied HDMI cable and this issue begins. I have this issue and I even tried relocating the XB1 thinking it was getting too hot. It's clearly a software issue within XB1. Every "solution"
is just a temporary fix or band aid, but the real issue is not resolved. I guess we will have to wait and see if Microsoft acknowledges there is an issue and sends out an update. It is unacceptable to have to reboot the XB1 every few days so it works correctly.
Frustrating.

This has been happening to me since November. It happens about twice a week. I have to unplug the power and then plug it back in to "reboot" it. Then it works for few days. Very, very frustrating.

No update last night that I was aware of. A powercycle will likely temporarily resolve the issue. Did you switch from the low power setting to the instant on (high power setting)? Did you add or change anything at all?

I bought a $30 Monster 1000HD 1meter cable on amazon.com.

I now have consistent TV for 3 1/2 weeks straight.

I was skeptical about buy a HDMI more than $3. As I had a 5 pack for $10.

You need all the settings HDCP and every other setting it sends.

Again, Microsoft should've sent two HDMI cables. Which is my new stance, where my old stance was just like all you guys with problems.

On some settings on the TV there is a setting that will keep your HDMI powered on as well.

Don't use your TV's ARC HDMI.

And if your using the optical from your audio receiver to TV. Plug it into the XB1 instead.

HDMI cable actual does have a lot of features.

Bandwidth (hi-speed) 17.8 gps vs 10.2gbps, RoHS, HDCP, CL3, then all the VIDEO Supports and all the AUDIO Supports.

Then the shielding and lengths, which people hate on expensive HDMI cables.

Xbox just started doing the same thing again (live TC freezing and skipping ahead). I decided to call XBOX support. After the call I realized that I just wasted 16 minutes of my life talking with a tech who would rather be playing a PS4 than assiting someone
with problems. Poor staffing selection for Xbox. It was a total waste of time. I guess he couldn't wait to get to the next caller. At the end of the conversation he suggested that I call the number back and hit option 3 for hardware support . Well I
hit redial and the guy actually told me the wrong option, if I had been in a rush I would have hit 3 and would have gone to a different office. The option was number 4. The next person I spoke to was very keen on trying to troubleshoot the problem with
live TV. We did the exact same thing that was suggested in the forums, unplug the xbox power supply, hold the xbox power button down for 1 minute and then plug it back in. Well that is a short term fix. It looks more like a firmware problem than a hardware
issue. I would hate to have to send the unit in, but of course it looks like I will have to send this one back to get repaired, and get another one in it's place.
