Xbox one tv doesn't power on with start up

As of recently whenever I turn on my Xbox the tv doesn't turn on with it. This was not an issue before and nothing in my settings has changed. I have a 40 in Samsung model LN40D630M3F. I tried having the tv on prior to turning on the xbox to see if there
was any signal being sent and it resulted in the tv turning off with start up. Doing the opposite, I tried turning the console off while having the tv already off and the tv didn't turn on. It seems the Xbox can only turn the tv off.

Any one with a similar issue or a way to fix?

Xbox one no signal on tv

Start off with a power cycle on your console. See if it helps with anything.

My xbox one console looks to be jammed (does nothing anymore)

Hey ppl,

I need realy help, my Xbox one console doesn't do anything anymore.

When I start my console throught my controller, the console starts up (power button glows up), but my controller doesn't connect with it (both wireless as wired) and my screen stays empty also my TV doesn't reconize my console.

so it looks pretty dead to me, I was looking for help on google/youtube but whatever I try nothing works...

I hope someone can help me with it..

Volume up/down and Mute all work fine as well.

Here as well.... Right after the recent update the "on" feature for my tv with Xbox "on" has broken... It will do volume, off , mute ect ... Not on.

Samsung 55" here .

Did you find a fix? I've tried everything. Uncheck the option boxes, recheck them. Run with out the option , then off then on and recheck the the options and still no....

So , you guys meant to say that, the screen is BLANK right?

Even i had an issue yesterday...when nothing was coming in my screen since 5 minutes of powering the xbox on.. What i did tried to switch off my controller, by pressing the white button...

Then a "BYE DEEPAK option came...from where i got the confidence that yes the things are coming on to my screen..

Then did a Power Reboot and it was up and running again as well...

In the system, you can change the options from AUTO Detect to 720P etc...

No... Has nothing to do with the black screen issue.... The xb will not turn on samsung tv's since the recent update. It's also doing this to those with samsung sound bars ... My xb is fine, I just have to use the tv's remote control to turn the tv on rather
than the xb doing it

No fix yet. Probably has something to do with Samsung remote codes specifically that changed after the update. I haven't seen/heard any issues with any other brand besides Samsung.

Following the recent update for the XB1, the problem with the tv powering on has fixed itself!

Hey I had this same problem after the last update but I fixed it last night, and I also have a Samsung tv. To fix I went into settings then Power & startup then unchecked the instant on option then went to Tv & One guide then power settings and uncheck the
"Xbox on" turn on my device, go back one then to troubleshooting then Reset tv settings. Cut power off to system then back on then run the tv setup again then go back and cut instant-on On. See if that works, might sound like alot to do but it actually worked
for me. Hope it helps

I understand you need assistance with your Xbox One S, please follow the steps below to try to fix the issue;

-Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection then power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

-Wait 30 seconds.

-Plug the power cord back in.

-Press and hold the BIND button (the one used to sync controllers) and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox Power button on the console.

-Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds and listen for two power-up tones a couple of seconds apart.

NOTE: The BIND button of the Xbox One S is located below the power button,

-Once you hear the 2nd tone please release the button.

-If this is successful the Xbox will turn on and should start and show the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. On the Troubleshooter page, please select Reset this Xbox and then choose "Keep games and apps".

If you can't bring up the Troubleshooter page after several attempts, I'm afraid you need to consider sending in your device to have it repaired/replaced. Unfortunately, Microsoft is no longer servicing Xbox One consoles, so I recommend looking for the nearest local service center or game shop in your area to see if they can repair/replace it for you.

When I say "Xbox, Volume Up", the Xbox pops up the window saying it heard me correctly, but the TV doesn't change. Voice commands that the xbox acknowledges but don't work:

- changing volume

- toggle mute

- changing channels

- power on tv at startup

- power off tv at shutdown

And many more!

I'm starting to think that maybe my Kinect is broken.

The Xbox doesn't power up like normal. I've turned the tv off and on, it searches for a signal but can't find one.

Is there a way to do a "hard reset"?

power off the xbox and disconnect from mains, do the same for the tv, connect tv back to mains and start it up, then power on xbox, should handshake ok then.

Hello Boris,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. The Xbox one only has settings to send a signal to the TV whenever the Xbox is turned on. I currently do not have my Xbox plugged into a TV (I use a monitor) so maybe you will find more options than I did.

The settings I mentioned are in your Xbox one settings under "Power mode and start up". From power mode and start up, the next settings would be "TV & A/V power options.

Aside from that, I'm thinking the setting would come from your TV and not from the Xbox
