    Xbox one tv channel change without kinect


    So I have the xbox one without the Kinect and my tv works fine with my xbox I can see the picture and guide but I just cant change to the channel, and I really cant find anything about it so I thought id just ask it on the forums, now I know I need an IR
    Emitter cable but I just wanted to make sure if that would actually work for changing the tv channels on my xbox and if so does it matter what kind? Does it matter if it has 2 sensors or 1?

    Cable Box does not have HDMI, How will I be able to use the Xbox One TV function?

    you can use an xbox one without a cable box, why dont you just change the tv channel

    you just cant change the tv channels with the Xbox One without having it plugged in to the Xbox One, everything else should be ok

    It won't change channels, what Xbox one need is a universal control remote to access the cable or the converter box. Kinect works with my tv only.

    The New media remote is an alternate for the Kinect

    The remote uses its signal sent TO the KINECT then uses the Kinect IR to change the channel or volume on your TV...

    Not sure about you.... but I have always used my OEM remote for changing the channels on the TV...just use the voice/kinect for pause, play rewind, mute and volumes...
