Xbox one turns on with no picture or sound HELP!

Hi hopefully someone has figured out how to resolve this.

My wife wiped my console down with a damp (no dripping) cloth but after doing so the xbox wouldn't stop beeping like it was being turned on and off eventually we got it stop but then the picture and sound went when the console was turned on and hasn't gone
back to normal since. Tried the xbox support suggestions but to no avail. Does anybody know how to fix it? It is out of warranty and would rather repair it as i cant clear my personal data from the hard drive.

Also i don't own a computer to reset it that way

No Sound!

Can any1 help? Just got a panasonic th-42pwd8 plasma monitor to use with xbox. I have connected vga lead to xbox from monitor and the red n white audio plugs into the monitor. Turn xbox on and get the game on screen etc but no sound. However if i press input
button to switch from rgb to rgb 1 i get sound on there but no picture. Tried everything but cant get picture and sound on same screen. Any help appreciated thanks. P.s cables are in correct sockets.

 

Sound with no picture! HELP!

To reset to default:

Remove any discs from the disc tray.

Turn off the console.

Turn on the console.

Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left light illuminated.

As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

 

Hi, did you check the HDMI cable is nice and secure, the cable should be in the HDMI port nearest to the power lead.

Maybe try another HDMI cable too, make sure your TV is set to the correct input source.

Try resetting the display settings as follows.

Remove any disc from the xbox, press and hold the power button on the xbox for 10 seconds and the xbix will power off. Press and hold the power button and the eject button, wait until you hear the second of two power on tones. The second power on time should
occur around 10 seconds after the first, when you hear the second tone let go of the buttons.

Sorry you're having issues with your Xbox. Using a cloth like you described shouldn't effect the console like that. Does the front panel still beep and turn on normally when you hit the power button? Does the power supply light go or stay white? I would
suggest trying a different HDMI cable, trying a different HDMI port on your TV, and finally trying a different TV. If you've done all of those things, and you still don't get a picture, try following the

steps here.

The leads are perfect i borrowed my brothers xb1 and it worked perfect. The controllers can't turn the xbox on or off and have to hold my finger over the sensor to turn it off as any other way doesn't work.

 

Also to add when the xbox does power up it doesn't make any of its usual noises you'll hear.

 

Hi try powering the xbox off, disconnect the power supply from the mains power outlet for around 10 minutes, reconnect the power supply and try the xbox again.

 

did you find a way to fix it because mine is doing the same
