Xbox One Turns on randomly (scary)

OK guys starting from last week I've entered my living room to find out that my Xbox is turned on somehow even though the room is dead silent and for example this evening i woke up at 3:30 in the morning and my Xbox was on i think i might have a ghost
please help me out here.

Seems like something to do with how the original model powers up, I wonder if anyone with an S model can confirm if this has happened to them. I know one of the design alterations of the S was the power button since the original button was hair-trigger sensitive
but never this much.

There was a guy on here a month or two back, he was convinced his kinect was picking up ghost's. He bassically got laughed off the for forum...... He was deadly serious though.

 

Machines turning on by themselves? Looks like skynet has become self aware!

 

Mine keeps recording random clips on BF4, every now and then it just comes up with " Gamer clip saved ", even though I never asked it to record anything.

 

Turn it off at the wall. That's the way to make sure its off! Xbox 1 DOES do updates even when you've hit the Console Off button on the Dashboard. As for the Xbox 1 randomly recording some of your gameplay, there is an option to turn that off on the Dashboard
settings. I shutdown my console and when I go to play on my Xbox 360 because my TV has 4 HDMI ports and use on of them for 1 and the other for the 360 as don't want to use the HDMI in on the Xbox 1 console. And still when I play on my Xbox 360, I can hear
my Xbox 1 making noises. This is because it's in a low power state and conducts updates silently in the background. M doesn't make spyware otherwise they would land up in court.

 

It's just the NSA randomly spying on you. No big deal.

 

If you was to set up a recording device overnight you might just here this being whispered:

"xxxxxxxbbbbooooooxxxxxxxxx ooooooooooooonnnnnnnn"

....Creepy....

Better sleep with the light on.

 

Leave a camera set up recording white noise from the tv..... have a sound recorder going at the same time......

 

My Kinect turned on by it self the other day and I had it turn off in settings too I think I was beening spy on

 

It turns itself on to download updates on occasion, then goes back into stand by.

 

Soon you'll hear "Damn campers killed me...and I'm already dead" @ 3:33 am

Btw, it's time to move. The whole wait it out thing never works. Run. Sell the house completely furnished and never return.

 

Turn it off and unplug it from the wall to see what happens. Good way to save electricity.

 

As Goat mentioned there was a guy on here awhile back that had a pretty good story about his Kinect picking up a second guest player when ever his daughter was playing if I remember correctly.
