    Xbox one turns on for 2 seconds and then goes off


    New to xbox one and my son put in first game. Xbox one need to install software. Now when we turn the xbox on it lights up for 2 seconds and then goes off. I'm guessing it's a software issue. Any ideas much appreciated.

    My games won't play on 2 of my consoles and on one of them when I go to turn it off it turns green for a couple of seconds then goes blank turns back on for a couple of seconds and blank and it does it 6 or 7 times

    If your xbox one turns on with the black screen issue that is easily solved by applying the offline update:

    support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

    Read through the process of formatting the flash drive etc thoroughly and follow the instructions as if you were doing a system update but using the file you downloaded you may find that your console will then boot correctly.

    Silent so when you turn the tv off via the xbox the tv light goes off. the dvr light goes off and the ONE light goes off?

    And then simply saying XBOX ON it turns on then say tv on the tv and dvr turn on?
