Xbox one turns on but screen stays blank

hey everyone, just moved into my new house and was finally able to set up my home theatre, now today I turned on my Xbox and nothing comes up on the screen it just stays black, I have switched hdmi cords and confirmed that the tv, and all my hdmi cords are
working, the Xbox acts normal but nothing comes up on the tv, I have tried holding the power button, and starting it using the eject and power button, any help would be greatly appreciated.

"Xbox turn off" not working after February update

I am having an issue with the "Xbox Turn Off" command. It's not the issue where saying "yes" fails to work.

I get to the yes or no screen, say "yes" and the screen goes blank as if it were going to turn off, but instead just stays blank. The xbox stays on, the TV stays on, but no more commands work. I'm left with a blank screen, and the inability to do anything.


This doesn't happen every time, just once in awhile.

I'm sure resetting the xbox one will fix this, as it has in the past, but this isn't the first time this has happened recently. Is there a reason this happens? Software updating in the background after I've told it to turn off or something?

 

Xbox won't connect to controls or TV

when I turn my Xbox one on my controllers can not connect to it and it forms not connect to the TV as it stays blank

 

Hi, is the HDMI cable in the correct port on the xbox? It's the port nearest to the power lead.

 

Wow can't believe I did that. Had no clue there was more than one hdmi port. Thanks eggsboxjuan,
