Xbox one turns on and then off immediately

My Xbox one worked fine at first. And then I started the update. I didn't pay attention to it when it was updating. However, when I decided to check the update status, I found the xbox had already turned itself off. I pushed the XBOX button, it lighted only
for about half of seconds. No picture was transmitted to the TV. It was like it turned it off immediately once it turned on. What should I do??

Usually when people have those problems its because theirs a shortage that's what happened to my friends and got it fixed but that's because they had insurance do you have insurance?

Hello everyone, I've had an issue with my Xbox for the past few weeks where it immediately shuts off upon start up, with the light on the power brick turning red. I purchased a new power brick, which did not solve the problem. I have also tried plugging
it into several different outlets. The same issue persists, despite attempting all common solutions. Does anyone else know why my Xbox may not be working?

To sort this out you should apply the offline update through usb during the boot up sequence:

I would also check the power supply to see if its working fine.

Try unplugging your console from the power outlet for 5-10 minutes to see if that helps

10 months into ownership of Xbox One and it self destructs in form and fashion as the 360. Whatta piece of junk.

FIXED!

I fixed this problem, by taking it apart, and cleaning the heat sink. I replaced it with new heat sink compound, and check every cable when I was putting it back together. Works flawlessly now!

You can also try holding the Power button and eject button to reset the video settings!

I've had the same problem. Mine started a few weeks ago. Mine happened around the time of a bad lightning storm, and I had everything plugged into the surge protector, but was useless.

I try to do a hard reset and when I first try turning it on, nothing happens. Then after a few button pushes, I get the light on and it shuts off. Then after a few more, I even get the fan going and then it shuts off. Never get the Xbox screen.

I have also tried all the options and replaced the power cord because some mentioned the 7a cord that came with it originally wasn't enough power. Nothing. I am considering trying to replace the power supply or motherboard, but don't know if its worth spending
$60-80 for a part and then it not work, especially when the new system is out soon.

I was hoping there would be more people on these forums posting this issue, but doesn't seem that way.

If none of those steps worked I would recommend opening a warranty check and possible service repair. But first before doing so, try as another troubleshooting step moving the console to a different room/tv and use a new HDMI cable if available to see if
it responds as it almost sounds related to detection by television input but could also be motherboard related and need service. Here is the service link for you and hopefully they can further help if the changing tvs test doesn't help you.

At this point, I'm not sure. What I suggested worked for me. So I'm not really sure, If you have an active warranty you can try to use that to get a new system. Besides that I suggest you contact xbox support directly. I'm sorry I couldn't give you a direct
solution.
