Xbox One Turns Off When I Try to Sign In

It started rather out of the blue with me turning on my Xbox (which it did fine) and signing in manually and when it tried to sign in the Xbox turned itself off and made a small buzzing sound before going silent. I tried again only to get the same result.
A third time and again only the same result. I tried checking my internet to see if it was that, but it was fine and checking the power supply which is fine so I decided to do a system reset. After resetting and getting through the basic questions and options
I get to the "Sign In To Your Microsoft Account" screen and try signing into my account, to which it tries to log in then my Xbox suddenly shuts off. I try the same thing again to have the same thing happen again. So the next time I try I use a completely
different Microsoft account (that does not have an Xbox profile linked to it) and then after the Xbox live gold prompts it goes to the main menu fine. I try to get my main account back on the Xbox, but yet again every time I try to log into it, the Xbox shuts
off. So I have no other ideas of what to do but look for help. Thanks.

Loosing the connection between my controler and my xbox one s

Very frequently, almost every day, when I turn on my xbox one, my controler is disconnected. When I try to turn on my controler the xbox sign light just flashing then turn off.

Hi, when I try to add a new account and sign in, the xbox one completely shuts off. After I restart the console and try to sign again the xbox one will just not let me sign in, but it doesn't shut off this time, because my profile is already on there.
My microsoft account works everywhere except on xbox one. It cant be something wrong with the xbox one because it did the some thing on a friend"s console, so there must be something wrong with my account. I've talked to xbox support and they claim there
isn't anything wrong with my account. I've done everything and nothing works. Please help.

 

Hey there, JT! What an odd situation! It sounds like your profile might be corrupted, but I can't find any evidence that will suggest that.

Are you able to try another Xbox One with your account? That will help us determine if there's something wrong with your account as a whole or just your account on your console. Let us know if you're able to try that!

 

Well I don't have access to another Xbox One but I do to a Xbox 360 to which it let me sign into fine, and without turning off, after re-entering my email and password to my Microsoft/Xbox account.

And a small update on the Xbox One situation: After attempting to log into my Microsoft account, to which it turns off, when turned back on my "" profile is available on the sign in side menu, but when I select it I get the signing in loading screen
then it seems to stop for a second and the sign in side menu opens again, without signing me in to my "" account. Although it does not sign me into my account the Xbox One does not turn off. I guess that's a plus...

 

Well, it sounds like your 360 profile is just fine then. Understand that signing into an Xbox 360 is separated from an Xbox One. This is why you can sign into both at the same time.

Are you able to have a friend help you out by signing into their console with your information? I know this is a weird and definitely not conventional request, and I suggest asking someone you trust and then changing your password immediately after.

 

you have this problem because your account is a child account and that doesn't have an admin account to it anymore. For some reason, with the new dashboard the console will not allow you to access your child account unless you have a parental attached to
it. So, add a parental account and the problem is solved .

 

I have a similar problem. Sometimes when I turn my console on, it will completely shut off after a few seconds and I have to turn it on again. No issues with signing in though. I have my Xbox set to Instant-On.

FirstJacheres - That is not the case. I am currently working with another customer that is having the same issue and *is* a child account that has a parent account. While that may be a possible solution, it is not the case for all users running into this.


JT - Were you able to give what I suggested a try? The other customer I am working with shuts down other Xbox One consoles when he signs into them, so I'd like to make sure yours does that, too.

 

I was able to try just today, unfortunately it got me the same result. Although FirstJacheres comment is somewhat relevant to my case, as I did not have this issue until I got rid of the deleted the admin account a while back. (It was not needed any more)

Does this mean that your account is a child account and it hasn't been promoted yet? If this is the case, then you will definitely need that admin account back. If you don't have an admin account associated with your child account, and it comes time to promote
your account, it will cause a few errors. In most countries, you need to be 18 in our system to be able to promote your account.

Have you contacted support to let them know that you need to get your "orphaned account" (yes, terrible phrasing, but totally accurate) set back up with a parent account? Let's try that first and see if they are able to assist you.

 

I recently called Xbox Support and gave the details of the whole situation. To which they told me that this problem had been encountered since the new update (or something like that). And that they would have the situation "escalated" and have the problem
solved/ account fixed within three or less days. Anyway thanks to everyone who helped!

I am having the same issue as of this date of post. I am not even able to sign in before the XBox shuts off. The same buzzing sounds come from the back just before the box completed shuts off. Internet is wired, power supply is ok and the box is properly
ventilated. It is signed on with an adult account. Any suggestions or solutions?
