Xbox one turns off when fan starts running

So I have gone through countless amounts of third-party power supply for my xbox one, I just recently purchased a brand new Microsoft verified power supply brick. but I still run into the same problem, at first it was happening when the xbox first starts
up (green loading screen) halfway through the sound of the fan turning on it will shut it's self off. sometimes I can get passed loading screen and the fan stays off but once I start up a game or when the fan just randomly decides to start up, the xbox powers
it's self off. I've tried countless amounts of tricks to get the fan to stay on, including a blow dryer. I have no clue what else to do, and I'm literally wasting money that I spent on a gold membership. (It's the original Xbox one btw)

Xbox one fan never shuts off!

Hey guys, Even when I turn my xbox one off, the fan still keeps running. It's not to loud but my 360 was dead silent when of. Does your fan keep running when you shut it down?

Xbox One X in instant on mode has fan running

Hello,

when my xbox one x is shutdown, using instant on mode, the fan stays running. Eventually it may turn off. The xbox is well ventilated, so I don’t think that’s the issue.

I usually use full shutdown mode, but last night I left it in instant on mode as it was downloading games. At 11:30am the fan was still running. I checked and nothing was downloading.

Any advise welcome.

That doesn't sound like an issue that you can fix on your own especially if you've bought a new power supply. You definitely don't want to be blowing hot air in there from a blowdryer.

Just set up a return and don't even deal with the hassle. That's what I would do.

Also when my Xbox turns off it makes a weird sound that I have never heard before.

Every time I turn it on, I can hear the fan start to run and then it stops, but then it starts slowly while my TV still says no signal then my Xbox turns off. I would really want to play Xbox tonight and tomorrow.

it is waking periodically to check for updates, this requires the hdd to run and the fan comes on, if you don't want this then configure the power setting to fully turn of the xbox, this will turn off the auto updating feature so you would most likely have
to manually install game updates when starting a game.

Very possible. Since this setting more just turns off the display and keep everything running, it was still running a task keeping it from idling with nothing to do. I know, with the case of the Xbox One, when you had that setting on, still in a game,
and turn off the Xbox that your fan will be going the entire time because it is still processing that the game is being played.

My standard edition Xbox One is doing the same thing. It's quiet, but noticeable enough when everything else is turned off at night. It sounds like a fan or the hard drive might still be running.
