    xbox one turns off TV when I turn the xbox one on


    It's a Samsung LN40D550 TV. It looks like the xbox decided it should send a "power toggle" instead of power on when it turns on and power off when it turns off. It also doesn't change the TV to its input. How can I tell it what CEC frame to send? This
    "control your tv" stuff is a lot more trouble than it's worth the way it works right now.

    xbox sends reverse commands to my direct tv box

    When I turn my xbox one on it turns my direct tv box off, when the one goes off the direct tv comes on. How do I fix this?

    opinions on leaving on and tv app!!!

    Silent so when you turn the tv off via the xbox the tv light goes off. the dvr light goes off and the ONE light goes off?

    And then simply saying XBOX ON it turns on then say tv on the tv and dvr turn on?

    If your TV is on when you turn on the XBOX One (Same thing with your receiver if XBOX is controlling it) then it will turn them both off IF you have the option checked that allows the XBOX one to control either. Threw me for a loop also when I turned the
    XBOX ONE on when I had both the tv and receiver on. I run my cable into the TV not through the XBOX as I far prefer the Comcast remote menus rather than the XBOX one.

    You seem to have found the reason already. In its current states, the console simply toggles the power on your TV (or receiver), rather than explicitly telling it to power ON or OFF (to match what the console is doing).

    try turning your xbox one on with your tv off - then turn on your tv.

    i find with mine when i switch inputs i need to turn my tv off then on for it to pick it up.

    Me too... but I having a bigger problem now with turning on my Xbox One with instant on and with TV turn on features. when everything is "off" TV and Xbox, I say "Xbox, ON" Xbox lights up but most times it keeps blinking and will not turn on my Samsung Smart
    TV and even the Kinect and Xbox won't boot up. I have to hard restart the Xbox but I still have to turn on my TV Manually, but when I do that and the Xbox calls for the TV to be Turned on it actually turns the TV off. I Never Had this Problem before.
