Xbox One Turns off Immediately

The Xbox turns on for about 1 second before turning itself off again. The white light at the front of the console will turn on, but nothing is displayed on the television screen. I assessed the power supply, and initially a white light appears. However,
upon turning on the xbox the light turns orange for a moment and the light turns off as the console itself turns off. I believe it's a problem with the power supply, but I'm not sure. HELP

It's normal my Xbox 360 does not turn off immediately, unplug your ethernet cable and Xbox 360 will turn off immediately

I have an Xbox 360E and gave my 360S to my twin daughters. Used moderately for games by my children and heavily for YouTube. I had the shut-off set for 8 hours but it was pretty much constantly in use especially with YouTube. A little over a week ago it
stopped turning on. Lights are all correct. Orange when powered off green light for the 3 to 4 seconds it would power up before immediately shutting off. There was no orange flashing light or a red light of any kind. Neighther on the power brick or Xbox. Checked
several sources including this site. The problem sounded like the power brick however none of the warning lights showed of any kind. I believe it is one of the first Xbox 360S models as the power brick is different then the one I just picked up from GameStop.
Correct connections, etc. With the exception of only looking slightly different. So I took a shot that it was the problem and bought a new 360S power brick thinking maybe the warning lights were malfunctioning also. Turned out to be a good guess. I can't guarantee
that its the same situation and that it's the power brick but in my case getting a new power supply fixed the issue immediately. Only issue was that the hard drive was wiped upon starting the system back on. Irritating but fixible by going to your downloads
history in your settings dashboard panel on the far right of your dashboard and re-downloading all of your previous purchases. I nearly bought another 360 or sent it into support when all I needed was a new power supply. Current price I paid today 5/21/17
was $26.99. Not sure about the price for Xbox one power brick but it sounds like your having the same issue only Xbox one and not 360. But the manufacturing times and overlap of the two systems lifecycles and more then likely means same kinds of manufacturing
processes and same parts etc. So the the solution of replacing the power brick could work. Sounds like the same issue. Good luck.

 

I'm having the same problem. I have tried unplugging the power brick and all the connections and leaving it for a bit, but it still doesn't work. The problem started about 3 months ago after i had some wierd problems updating the console where it would download
the update but not install it. Now whenever I try and turn it on the light either doesn't show but the sound works, or the light and sound goes off but then it shuts off after 2 seconds.

 

I now got the exact same problem. Got a new power adapter but no change. This is really annoying. Any help from Microsoft or fixes?

 

I have the same problem. Reached out to the support. They give the same "reset your console" solution which doesn't work.

 

that's what I'm dealing with right now from what I can see it has something to do with the fan either inside the system or power brick but I'm not home at the moment to test the theory I have.
