    XBOX One turns off every time I play a disc game.


    Everytime I play a disc game, regardless how new or old, the console make it through about 10 seconds of the intros and turns off. I got hold of support and tried to factory reset and still no change.

    I can navigate all over the xbox one and watch any app including youtube video, but as soon i put in a disc, it turns off.

    HELP! (and they want me to get a new Xbox? PFFFT)

    Xbox one won't turn off without disc being in tray Everything set up as far as I am aware, try selecting many methods of powering off console but every time it restarts unless I keep a disc in the tray Otherwise games work fine etc.

    every time I turn on my Xbox one to play this game, I either have to update the game or the system itself?! I really miss just being able to put a disc in and play.

    XBOX One turns off every time I play a disc game.

    Try resolving this issue by performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back
    in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test the results.

    Exact same problem. Power brick suddenly started going dark shortly after turning on. Have tried the hard resets, unplug for 5 mins, blah blah blah. Nothing works. Occasionally I can get to main menu screen but when I insert a game disc, it just cuts out.

    No lights on power brick.

    Big question I have is: Is this likely a power brick problem, xbox hardware problem or a software problem?

    I had the same problem, tried all the same fixes. I pushed the button on the side of the disc player and it fixed it in about ten seconds. I didn't even know that was a button.

    We have the same problem. What "button on the side of the disc player" are you talking about? The only one I know of is the hole to stick.on a paper clip to eject a disc that is stuck.

    mine does this every time i change discs i have to turn the xbox one off then on again every time i want to play a different game, its very annoyng

    We have the same problem. What "button on the side of the disc player" are you talking about? The only one I know of is the hole to stick.on a paper clip to eject a disc that is stuck.
