    Xbox one turns off automatically


    So I turn on my Xbox for the day after I get home from school. But once I load into rainbow six siege after all the little previews and stuff. My Xbox makes a quick “click” noise, then turns completely off. I can’t even turn it back on unless I unplug all
    the cords and wait 10 seconds, and it’s different, whenever I play fortnite. I get on fortnite and actually start playing. But 3-4 minutes into the game, it does the exact same thing. I have hard rest my Xbox, I have even let it sit for an hour to see if it
    wasn’t was “overheated” but I know it isn’t because I barely turn on my xbox and it turns off. It’s not overheating for sure. It’s not just one day where it turns randomly, it’s been 2 days and it’s still doing the same thing same thing. Please help me. Don’t
    give me a link saying to let my Xbox rest. Or whatever. Just give me a straight answer on what to do. Thanks

    Xbox One won't turn off automatically

    I have my Xbox One set to turn off after 1 hour of inactivity, but it won't turn off automatically at all. It used to turn off automatically, but about a month ago it just stopped doing it. Anyone know what's going on?

    Xbox 360 turns off automatically

    Do you use a surge protector or power extension lead at all ? If so try connecting the Xbox power supply directly to the mains power outlet, It could be that the surge protector or extension lead is dropping power which would cause the Xbox to power off.

    I believe resetting the console may have fixed the issue! I well let you know if the issue continues, but thank you for the support!

    Hello Liam,

    Do you have the console plugged into a power strip or extension cord? This could cause issues with the power for the console. If the console is try plugging it directly into a wall socket and see if the issue persists. If it does after that you may want
    to think about getting the console repaired as it may be malfunctioning. You can go to

    Device support     and set one up.

    Unfortunately, after a couple of days of it running completely fine and bug free, it decided that it wanted to go back to its old state and continue to make the sound.
