    Xbox One turns Itself on for no reason


    My xbox one console has begun turning itself on by itself. This started started a few days ago, and it's still happening. It turns itself on in the middle of the night and when no ones home. At first I thought it was related to the remote but that's not
    the case.

    I have no idea why this is happening now or what's causing it. I would appreciate any suggestions that you folks may have. Thanks.

    Xbox One Turning On

    For some reason my new Xbox One keeps on randomly turning itself on. I have the power saver mode turned on and power it off completely when i turn it off. No Kinect, so that isn't an issue. Is my console haunted???

    Have you tried a proper power cycle? This can clear and "refresh" the console when it starts acting a little weird.

    I take it that you have the power mode set to "Instant-on"?

    My XBOX ONE keeps turning on by itself.

    A common reason why the console would turn itself on is due to it possibly being plugged into a surge protector or power strip.

    The Xbox One has its own surge protection built into its power supply, and plugging it into another one might cause minor electrical issues such as turning itself on.

    Ensure the Xbox is plugged directly into the wall outlet.

    I've had the same problem since Day 1. Microsoft sent me a replacement console, but it is having the same issue. I'd love to find a solution as well.
