Xbox One turning on by itself all the time

I have an Xbox One in my living room with a Kinect and it will randomly turn on and spit the disk out on its own and the other day while playing a game online it ejected my *** and kicked me from the game. I then purchased a second Xbox One for my bedroom
so that my husband and I could play Destiny together and this Xbox One I purchased without the Kinect and it is doing the same thing. I have unplugged them both still has the same issue. They will also make the noise as if they are turning on but do not actually
come on. I am writing this to see if others are having fun the same issues plus I am a light sleeper and I am tired of getting woke up in the middle of the night by my Xbox. I would rather not have to unplug both systems every time we get done playing. Uggggh
just frustrated...

Here's a shot in the dark: I would try turning off or disabling the Kinect. If it still happens then at least you have removed the Kinect sensor as a possible culprit.

It reliably does this now. I can always count on it turning itself back on. I'm getting tired of it. What is the problem? I have tried hard resetting it many times.

 

Are both of these systems plugged in to surge protector? if so, plug them into the wall

sounds like yours having a power issue

 

The OP could also change the power settings on the console. The Kinect has sensitive ears, and if you say anything that sounds like Kinect in your sleep, it will turn on...JK JK, but just change the power settings on the console. Hopefully that will help

The Xbox One with the Kinect is plugged straight into the wall and today it was kicking my husband back to the home screen while he was playing two separate games. The Xbox in my bedroom does not have a Kinect and my daughter was watching a movie and it
kicked her back to the home screen also. But prior to doing so it made the beeping sound like 5 times.

 

You may need to restore your system to factory defaults and start fresh on your system, you wont be losing anything its just timely to download and install your apps and games. and all saves will be synced back to the HDD

 

This issue needs to be addressed.

Ive seen it asked multiple times on many boards but no one has come up with a solution.

My Xbox recently started randomly just beeping then ejecting disks.

Ive done the following already:

Full power cycle, Clean the eject button, Plug directly to power, use power savings mode, give the console more air...im sure im missing something else, but basically ive tried everything.

The Xbox will still randomly act as if someone hit the eject button and push out whatever disk is inside.

Ive seen Youtube videos of people recording this, yet micrsoft seems to be ignoring it.

There must be a solution, or atleast an acknowledgement of the problem?
