Xbox one turn on then it turns off

my Xbox one has an issue you turn it on then it turns off. When the light comes on for a quick second you do see a white light come from the power brick but when it turns off it goes back to Orange is that a sign of a console or a power brick problem.
I've already tried plugging through the power strip and the wall outlet

Turns on then off.

You can try the the steps provided here: Xbox Powers off Unexpectingly

If this doesn't work you can also try different power supply if you have one or have a friend bring theirs over to troubleshoot to see if it's just the power supply causing the problem.

But if that does not work I'd suggest contacting xbox support and starting a repair on your console.

Its an xbox one s, no power supply

It could be either actually, but sounds like a power brick issue honestly.If you have a friend or family member with an Xbox One, I would take my Xbox to test there. That would immediately tell you where the issue is.

I'm going through the same thing. Took the console to GameStop, where they had power supply I could hook up to.

Same issue, orange light, flashes white for a second then back to orange. Console will not power on...

For me it's not the power supply...

I'm lucky enough that they. Are doing it as a free courtesy repair with my console. I started thinking if it was the brick there would be some sort of indication that would be the problem

Hi, I had the same problem yesterday; Power on after using the console button but power off after a second or two, tried repeatedly. Noted that during this time powering on with the controller button would not work. Tried unplugging power supply for a few
minutes but no joy afterwards. Tried unplugging HDMI to TV and power came on for a few minutes but went off again. Tried with ethernet cable unplugged, power on for a second or two only. So tried a different HDMI cable and all seemed good for ten minutes then
problem returned. The power supply lights behave correctly, the console is cool to the touch all over and fan works. Left the unit alone for ten hours to ensure it was completely cool, during this time the power supply was on and showing orange light. Exactly
the same when tried again. Unplugged all leads for ten minutes, plugged in everything and all is back to normal. I can power on with console or controller buttons. I have since used either with the Ethernet or wifi connection to my modem or with no connection,
all allow power to remain on. I hope this is the end of the problem but somehow I don't think so. Good luck everybody. Big AL

I've had the same problem. Mine started a few weeks ago. Mine happened around the time of a bad lightning storm, and I had everything plugged into the surge protector, but was useless.

I try to do a hard reset and when I first try turning it on, nothing happens. Then after a few button pushes, I get the light on and it shuts off. Then after a few more, I even get the fan going and then it shuts off. Never get the Xbox screen.

I have also tried all the options and replaced the power cord because some mentioned the 7a cord that came with it originally wasn't enough power. Nothing. I am considering trying to replace the power supply or motherboard, but don't know if its worth spending
$60-80 for a part and then it not work, especially when the new system is out soon.

I was hoping there would be more people on these forums posting this issue, but doesn't seem that way.
