Xbox One trouble playing online on college campus

I've stumbled across this.

It's guide mentions an ethernet but you can try out the steps...and just substitute ethernet with wifi once you reach the dashboard options.

I had the same problem you did. It's a pain. But you're gonna have to use your computers ip settings and copy them to your Xbox one after you login. (you won't be able to use both your Xbox one and computer at the same time) but... That's the work around...

In such situation, without college IT guys, You can't fix this issue, only them can do such operations on their equipment. So short answer no, without them no hope.

Some information that may be helpful from you both, is, how are you connected to the Internet?

Ginger, are you saying that your Xbox is connected to the college network?

Also, keep in mind that when attempting to get an open NAT, it can be done different ways. If you're attempting to do this via UPnP, some routers do not handle UPnP very well and cannot be depended upon to open your NAT correctly. You may have to set a static
IP address for your console and then put it in the DMZ for your router. There are instructions on how to do this if you search Google.

If you're on a college network, you may want to try what this website suggests (it's from the older Xbox GUI, but will work)

There was a patch today? Sweet. Im still at my college campus so i wont be home till later.
