Xbox One, transfer of game purchases and game progress

Hi, my son has to return his xbox one s to the store as the controller is broken. They dont have anymore instock so i will have to get a full refund and purchase one from a different store. He only plays fortnite, when he logs into his new xbox one s, and
fortnite (using his existing acciunt), will all his game purchases and progress be there or is there something else i have to do to transfer fortnite data over?

As long as he uses the same account it will be available on every Xbox he signs in with his account.

Indeed it will; game progress, purchases and achievements etc. are all tied to one's account, and as long as he uses that account on the shiny new Xbox it will all be the same.

Skyrim is not backwards compatible. If you were to purchase the One version of the game you would start over as progress cannot be transferred.

No, sorry this is not possible. The Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts will be coming out November 5th 2013. Any game purchased Xbox 360 will only work on the Xbox 360. If you wish to play this game on the Xbox One you will need to buy the Xbox One version
of this game. Doing a license transfer won't let you play this game on the Xbox One.

The only thing that will transfer for Call of Duty Ghosts on the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One is your multiplayer progress and the online pass if you've purchased one (for a limited time).
